Transform Saturday September 2007
It is one thing to say "yes' to being a part of a mission team that is traveling to an exotic locale. It is something else to freely give up a Saturday and say "yes" to helping those in need in our local community. But in true Red Dot fashion, our employees did just that by coming out to help our neighbors in need on our Transform Saturday work day.

By partnering with a local organization called Labor of Love, projects helping three local families with special needs were identified as fitting the skills of our Red Dot employees. Homes that needed a drainage problem solved, a painting and repair, and a wheelchair ramp built were handed off to Red Dot. Additonally, the Family Peace Project, a local women's shelter, needed a fire escape installed. This gave our "Transform Saturday" four projects for our Red Dot teams to tackle.
Our employees showed up early on the scheduled work day to head out to their assignments, and all accomplished their goals with excellence. They shared lunch together and smiles were seen throughout the day as those being helped came out to express their appreciation for the hard work that was being done on their behalf.

Everyone headed home sweaty, tired, and dirty having spent their day working hard to help those in need. And these neighbors were left with gifts of roses and books as a reminder from Red Dot employees that they are cared about.
